Editor's Review
Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter doesn’t hold your hand. I stepped onto the first map with a rifle, heard a T-Rex roar nearby, and actually felt my pulse spike. Choosing which dinos spawn lets you control the chaos—or just watch them through night vision.

carnivore hunter dinosaur Tips
Let’s cut to the chase—hunting games on Android are a mixed bag, but Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter from Tatem Games isn’t just another generic shooter. It’s a surprisingly deep dinosaur hunting sim that balances realism with fun, and it’s been around long enough to refine its formula to near perfection. If you’re into tracking, stealth, and taking down prehistoric beasts without the chaos of most mobile action games, this one’s worth your time.
First, the stuff that’ll make you go “hell yeah.” The game’s core loop is addictive: you land on a dinosaur-infested planet, track your target using footprints, sounds, and your M.I.S.T. radar, then take the perfect shot—all while managing wind direction, noise, and your own scent so you don’t become the hunted. The dinosaur AI is smarter than you’d expect: herbivores will bolt at the first sign of danger, while carnivores like T-Rex will actively hunt you if you mess up. And the weapon variety? From silent crossbows to high-caliber rifles, each feels distinct and useful for different situations.
But let’s not ignore the rough edges. The free version’s grind can be brutal—you’ll need to hunt dozens of small dinosaurs to unlock better gear, and some of the cooler weapons are locked behind a paywall. The controls take getting used to, especially on smaller screens, and the graphics, while serviceable, won’t blow you away compared to newer games. Oh, and the ads? They pop up at the worst times, like right after you finally take down a T-Rex. Annoying, but not a dealbreaker if you’re patient.
