If you’re new to Soccer Manager 2026 (SM26) on Android, don’t stress—I’m gonna break down the basics so you can jump in without feeling overwhelmed. This game’s all about being a football manager, but it’s not as complicated as it looks, even if you’ve never played a management sim before.
First off, let’s talk about getting started. When you open the game, you can log in as a guest or with Google—guest is way quicker if you don’t wanna mess with accounts. Pick a nickname, go to career mode, choose a country, and build your first squad. That’s it—you’re ready to play. Super simple, right?
Now, the real stuff: how to not mess up your first season. Here’s my top tips for newbies, stuff I wish I knew when I started:
1. Don’t start in a top league. I know, everyone wants to manage Man City or Bayern, but those teams have crazy board expectations. Stick to smaller leagues (Asia or Americas work great) first—you’ll have more time to learn, less pressure, and you won’t blow your budget right away.
2. Watch your money. Seriously, this is make-or-break. Check the finance tab often—don’t overspend on wages or transfers.
