Editor's Review
After playing Vinland Tales, I found it’s a casual survival action RPG with Viking-themed village building. You gather resources, craft weapons, explore a harsh open world, and build your own settlement with defenses and jobs for clansmen. It uses a relaxed survival system without strict hunger, focusing on fun exploration and combat. It’s great for players who like survival, RPG, crafting, and Viking sandbox games.

Vinland Tales Official Introduction
Vinland Tales is a Survival Action RPG with casual sandbox game mechanics and
big village-building possibilities. You'll experience a new type of survival
game with quests, continuous open world progression, frosty surprises in dark
winter and opportunities to raid until the Armageddon comes knocking.
Survival Games casualized
Chop every tree, hunt rabbits and deer, stone and copper mining - resource management are a staple of every survival game, and Vinland Tales is no different. However, we threw away the hunger games in favor of a replenishable health pool so you can start every game session on exploration instead of just preventing yourself from dying.
Build your own Viking colonial village
From setting up your first camp to building an entire Viking village, you'll be pretty busy making a home for yourself and all the rescued clansmen that turn up to settle as workers. Manage their resource refining jobs, build houses and enhance the settlement with wells and defense structures.
Sharpen your axes
Craft your weaponry from a selection of clubs, swords, bows, spears and more. Upgrade them to make pointy ends even more pointy, embellish your craft with gems and their attributes, and poke around at the armies of the Ragnarök, bandit bosses and other generally unfriendly folk.
Explore Vinland and its harsh nature
Dive into dark medieval history and unravel the story of Leif Eriksson, known as the great Viking explorer; lead the siege to the strongholds of other survivor players, or build the mining shafts and worship sites for Thor and Odin. Crafting history has never been more fun!
And many more features to come:
Events ⭐ Quests ⭐ Talent Trees ⭐ Coop Building⭐ Mini Games ⭐ Achievements ⭐ Clan PVP Leaderboards ⭐ Guilds & Chat
As developers of Vinland Tales, we hope you enjoy our casual approach to the Survival RPG genre.
Vinland Tales Tips
Vinland Tales: Viking Survival Beginner Tips for Android Players
If you’re new to Vinland Tales: Viking Survival on Android, don’t stress—I’ve got you covered with the simplest tips to get you going fast. It’s an action-survival RPG where you play as Leif Eriksson, build a Viking village, explore wild lands, and even raid other players. It’s fun, but the early game can feel slow if you don’t know what to do first.
First off, let’s talk about the auto mode—this is a lifesaver for new players. It lets your character hunt, chop trees, and fight enemies on its own, so you don’t have to grind nonstop. Just remember: auto mode doesn’t collect resources, so you gotta do that part manually. A good trick is to fast-travel to a spot, let auto clear everything, then pick up the loot after.
The Great Hall is non-negotiable—build it first, no exceptions. It’s your main hub, and you can’t unlock new stuff or progress without it. Upgrade it every chance you get too; each upgrade gives you new knowledge, better settlers, and more things to build. Don’t waste time on random structures before getting this set up.
Energy management is huge here. You only have 100 energy for running, and it drains fast—running to the Pine Forest takes 16 energy, and Burial Chambers is 34. Walk if you can, but if you’re in a hurry, use energy wisely. Waiting for it to refill is annoying, so don’t waste it on unnecessary trips.
Quests are your best friend for fast progress. Focus on story quests first (the first one’s called No Man’s Land) and do world quests too—they give you resources and unlock new content. Don’t skip them; they’re the quickest way to get better gear, more settlers, and advance your village.
A few quick bonus tips: Keep your village happiness above 5 if you want new settlers—they show up at the Meeting Spot and help with building. Use the Altar of Knowledge to unlock new tech (you get Lore from leveling up and exploring shrines). And skip the long ads—watching a 55-second ad for 5 Hide isn’t worth it, trust me.
Overall, it’s a solid survival game for Android, especially if you like Vikings. The early game is slow, but stick to these tips, and you’ll build a strong village in no time. You don’t need to spend money to play, but it might speed things up if you get tired of grinding.
