Rockstar’s GTA: Liberty City Stories is a classic open-world port done right, but it’s not without its mobile hiccups. It’s the same gritty Liberty City we know from GTA III, packed with gang missions, car chases, and chaos—but newbies will get wrecked fast if they don’t learn the ropes. I spent 3 days replaying missions, escaping cops, and figuring out mobile controls, so I’m here to save you the noob headaches.

First off, newbies—this ain’t your average mobile action game. It’s a full GTA experience crammed into your Android, and that means chaos. These 3 tips will keep you alive longer and progress faster, no cap.

1. Stop messing with cops early on. I made this mistake first hour—jacked a cop car for fun, got 3 stars, and spent 10 minutes running from helicopters. Cops in this game are ruthless; avoid them till you get better weapons and faster cars. If you do get a wanted level, drive into narrow alleys or hide in garages—way easier than outrunning them on the highway.

2. Prioritize main missions (skip random side gigs). I wasted hours on random taxi or delivery missions, only to fall behind on the main story. Main missions unlock better gear, cars, and areas—stick to ’em first. Side missions are fun later, but they’re useless when you’re still figuring out the map.

3. Tweak the mobile controls ASAP. The default virtual joystick is clunky—trust me, I crashed 5 cars in 10 minutes because of it. Go to settings and adjust the joystick size and opacity; it’ll make driving and shooting way smoother. Also, use the auto-aim for early fights—you ain’t got the precision to aim manually yet.
