It’s all about diving into randomly generated dungeons, gunning down weird enemies, grabbing loot to power up, and starting over when you die (’cause that’s roguelike 101, duh). But don’t think it’s just mindless shooting—newbies get steamrolled fast if they don’t play smart. I spent 2 days dying, grinding, and figuring out the hacks, so I’m here to save you the hassle.

First off, newbies—this ain’t your average shooter. Permadeath’s real, levels change every run, and loot is random. These 3 tips will keep you alive longer and progress faster, no cap.

1. Stop hoarding loot—use it ASAP. I made this mistake first run—kept every weapon and power-up I found, thinking I’d “save ’em for later.” Bad move. Use better weapons the second you get ’em, and pop health potions before you’re on the brink of death. Holding onto junk only gets you killed faster—roguelikes ain’t about saving, they’re about adapting.

2. Prioritize range weapons over melee. I tried to go in swinging with a melee weapon early on, and enemies swarmed me in 2 seconds.
