Love You To Bits: Quick Beginner Guide & Hidden Memories Tips
Love You To Bits is one of those cozy adventure gems that sticks with you—think Monument Valley vibes but way more emotional, and it’s been a fan favorite for mobile players since it dropped. It’s got that same charming cartoon art style as Tiny Thief, and the story? Hits different. Your robot girlfriend gets blown to pieces by aliens, and you’re stuck trekking across 23 weird, wonderful islands to collect every piece and bring her back. It’s not super hard, but newbies always mess up the little stuff—like missing hidden memories or restarting levels ‘cause they didn’t know the save trick. Let’s fix that.
First, let’s get the biggest newbie mistake out of the way: saving. This game does NOT let you save mid-level. Switch apps for 2 seconds, and you’re starting over from the beginning. Trust me, I learned this the hard way after spending 20 minutes on the snowman level just to accidentally close the app. Try to knock out each level in one go—no distractions, no checking texts. And pro tip: play on a tablet if you can. The graphics pop way more than on a phone, but it’s totally playable on either.
Now, the real star of the game—hidden memories. Every level has 2, and they’re easy to miss if you’re just rushing to grab your girlfriend’s pieces. These memories unlock cute flashbacks of you two together, and they’re 100% worth hunting for—they make the story feel way more personal. Here’s how to find ‘em without pulling your hair out:
1. Check every single nook and cranny. Dark corners, under objects, even behind statues—nothing’s off-limits. Early on, in the sewer level, drag the skeleton near the first stair to get one memory, and don’t forget the dark spot by the right stair before you climb up. I missed that one twice.
2. Come back after you finish the main task. Some memories only show up once you’ve beaten the level’s core puzzle. Like the goblin level: after you take him down, head back to the three skulls area to grab the colorful socks. Or the farm level—shoot down the UFO first, then grab the boomerang outside the second-floor warehouse.
Tricky levels got you stuck? Don’t stress—I’ve got shortcuts to save you time. Let’s break down the worst ones:
Snowman Level: Need the carrot nose? Fill a jar with snow, let it melt, water the soil. For the yellow hat, kick the ball to distract the fat guard, steal his umbrella to help the kid in the rain—he’ll hand it over. And don’t skip the memories: one’s in the basket (click it three times), the other’s in the leaf cart.
Library Level: Use the magic wand to turn that weird creature into a potted plant, water it with the magic book to get a key (that unlocks a memory). Rotate the left painting twice to find a latch on the leaf painting—pull it for the second memory. Easy peasy.
Goblin Level: Grab the ice block with the key, drop two barrels (three will wash away), stand on ‘em to get a tape. Melt the ice for the key, grab the crystal, then nail the goblin with a rock when he runs—don’t let him escape with your girlfriend’s piece! I almost messed that up once.
The puzzles aren’t rocket science, but exploring pays off. Take your time, hunt for those memories, and don’t panic if you restart a level. Follow these tips, and you’ll breeze through the first 10 levels while collecting every memory—and that’s how you get the full experience.
