Let’s cut to the chase—Dad Made’s To The Trenches ain’t your typical FPS, and if you go in thinkin’ it’s another run-and-gun fest, you’re gonna get smoked fast. It’s a gritty WWI trench-warfare sim, set in the chaos of the Verdun “meat grinder” battles, and it’s all about survival, not just racking up kills. I put 5 days into this muck and bullets, so I’m here to spare you the noob headaches I had, plus tell you straight if it’s worth your phone’s storage.

First up, newbies—forget everything you know about Call of Duty. This game don’t care if you’re a pro at fast-paced shooters; survival trumps kills every time. These are the 3 tips that kept me from deleting it on day one, no cap.

1. Quit rushin’ open ground—seriously. I did this twice in my first hour, got sniped both times, and it was infuriating. This ain’t that kind of game: hug the trenches, use craters for cover, and never stand up unless you’re 100% sure there’s no snipers. Even then, duck after 2 seconds tops. Lookin’ cool ain’t worth restarting your run.

2. Manage your gear like it’s your last supply. Ammo’s tight, med kits even tighter. If you’re hurt, grab a tourniquet before bullets—you can’t shoot if you’re bleedin’ out, duh. Don’t waste grenades on single enemies either; save ’em for machine gun nests or groups. And for the love of God, grab every gas mask you see—those gas attacks hit outta nowhere, and you’ll die fast without one.

3. Don’t be a lone wolf—it’s a death wish. The map’s a maze of trenches and hidden ambushes, so follow your teammates’ markers. If someone’s yellin’ about a machine gun on the west side, listen—they ain’t lyin’. Join a squad if you can, too; solo players don’t last 10 minutes out here, trust me.
