Editor's Review
Monthly Idol puts you in charge of building a top K‑pop agency from scratch. I’ve managed idol groups, produced hit records, arranged schedules and planned world tours to grow popularity. The 5‑year contract system adds clear goals, and cloud save keeps progress safe. It’s a fun choice for K‑pop fans and management simulation lovers.

Monthly Idol Tips
Monthly Idol Beginner’s Guide: Stop Sucking, Start Building Your K-Pop Empire
Monthly Idol looks like a cutesy 8-bit K-pop game, but it’s low-key a deep management sim that’ll chew you up if you don’t know what you’re doing. I’ve spent way too many hours failing hard before figuring out the hacks that actually work—so listen up if you don’t wanna waste days stuck with garbage idols and a broke agency.
First off, forget the “grind diamonds first” garbage. The single most important thing you can do early on is nail your idol lineup—and that starts with trainees. Yeah, the trainee gacha is a pain, but don’t blow diamonds on it. Watch the ads. I know, I know, ads suck, but 15-30 mins of ads gets you way better talent than gold or diamonds ever will. And pro tip: duplicate trainees merge into better ones. Two F-ranks become a D-rank, so don’t panic if you pull garbage at first.
Next, stop sleeping on hair and clothes. There’s four concepts—Cool, Cute, Pretty, Sexy—and your idols need gear for all of ’em. Sub-concepts are random when you make albums, and nothing kills sales faster than your group bombing a sub-concept they’re garbage at. Again, skip diamonds here too; watch ads for free gear, and merge duplicates to boost stats. Easy win.
Albums and schedules are where the money’s at, but you gotta pair ’em right. When you’re making an album, pick a main concept your group crushes, hire the best producer you can afford, and gear up for both main and sub-concepts (prioritize main if you’re short on gear). While the album’s cooking (takes a minute), send your idols on schedules—four per month, pick the ones that pay the most. And for the love of God, make sure their health is full; if they run out of HP, the activity stops, and you waste time.
Concerts are great for XP and big money, but don’t get greedy. Start small—sell-out the tiny venues first to unlock bigger ones. Don’t jack up ticket prices too high; you want sold-out shows, not empty seats. And during the concert, tap every purple gem and XP pop-up—those gems get you special gear later, and XP levels up your agency fast.
Finally, diamonds. Spend ’em smart. First, unlock and upgrade SNS for every idol—each one gives passive perks, like more fans or diamonds. Then, if you can afford it, grab the 5k diamond buff that cuts idol health loss by 30% (permanent, worth every penny). Only spend 10k on an SS-rank idol if you’re desperate—make sure they’re the same gender as your group, though. Don’t be that guy who wastes diamonds on a solo artist for a girl group.
Oh, and one last thing: stay active. Leaving the game running idle is a risk—idols can mess up and cost you cash. Log out if you’re not playing. And hit up the free stuff: daily quests, the yellow bird that drops by (tap it for diamonds), and Idol Field Days twice a year (win for easy diamonds).
Follow this, and you’ll go from a tiny agency to a global K-pop giant in no time. Skip the fluff, focus on these hacks, and you’ll be collecting awards before you know it.
