If you’re just starting out and feeling overwhelmed, these 5 tips will turn you into a Sim master in no time:

nail the basics first.** Don’t rush to build a mansion or unlock 34 Sims. Focus on 1-2 Sims max. Keep their basic needs (hunger, hygiene, energy, social, fun) maxed—Sims get “inspired” (glowing) when all needs are full, and inspired Sims earn double XP for tasks. A full energy bar means more progress, so prioritize sleep and snacks!

chase quests, not chaos. Quests are the only way to unlock pets, careers, and new locations. The tutorial walks you through the first few, but stick to the quest list (bottom right) to avoid wasting time. Quests give LP/SP/Simoleons and level you up, which unlocks more Sim slots and features.

build smart, not fancy. Start with a small house—sell extra furniture to get Simoleons back. Focus on functional rooms first: a kitchen (cook food fast), a bathroom (fix bladder needs), a bed (sleep), and a TV (boost fun). Save fancy decor for later when you have extra cash.

use time to your advantage. Send Sims to work overnight—they earn Simoleons while you sleep, no effort needed. Short tasks (1-5 mins) are great for filling needs, while long tasks (hours) are for leveling up. Don’t let Sims sit idle—every action earns XP.
