Pixel Gun 3D Newbie Guide: Survive & Customize Like a Pro

Let’s be real—Pixel Gun 3D’s battle royale mode is chaotic for new players. I spent my first few rounds getting one-shot by pros who can hit headshots from across the map. But after messing up a bunch, I picked up some tricks that actually work. Plus, I figured out how to make my character and lobby look cool without spending ages. Here’s the lowdown for any new Android player just starting out.

First off, surviving the battle royale isn’t just about shooting. The little indicators around your character? They’re lifesavers. Footsteps mean someone’s running nearby, explosions mean gunfire, and chest icons point to loot. Walk slow when you hear enemies—you won’t show up on their indicators that way. Ambush them when they’re not looking, don’t run in guns blazing (trust me, that’s a death sentence).

Landing spots matter too, and it depends on how you play. If you wanna fight right away, hit Main Airport or Quiet Village—tons of loot, but lots of people. If you’re more of a “loot first, fight later” type, go for Blocka Cola Plant or Mining Facility. They’re quiet with decent gear, but you’ll have to move fast when the circle shrinks.

Chests are everything, especially the golden ones. They glow super bright—you can even see them while dropping from the plane. Golden chests have the best weapons, so always keep an eye out. And pro tip: grab every health item you see, even if you don’t need it. Depriving enemies of medkits is half the battle.

Once you get the hang of surviving, customize your stuff to stand out. You don’t have to use pre-made skins—go to the Armory, tap the Clothing tab, then Skins, and hit “New Skin” to make your own. Use the pencil, brush, and color palette to design whatever you want (just don’t make anything offensive, or you’ll get banned).

When you hit level 5, you can unlock the Lobby Editor too. Go to your profile (top left), find the Lobby Editor button, and start building. You can add buildings, pet houses, and even background scenes. The best part? Some items give bonuses—like bases that let you ignore damage. It takes time to build, but it’s worth it.

Oh, and don’t sleep on small details: wear headphones to hear footsteps and gunfire early, scan the map often (characters are huge, you’ll spot them easily), and avoid Small Isle until you’re used to the controls—it’s way too cramped.
