Epic Battle Simulator 2 Tips
Epic Battle Simulator 2 – Beginner’s Guide & Review
I’ve played my fair share of battle sims on Android, and most of ’em feel lazy—spam units, watch ‘em fight, repeat. Epic Battle Simulator 2 (EBS 2 for short) is different. It’s based on the PC version, and it brings all the chaos, strategy, and realistic graphics you’d expect—thousands of troops clashing, ragdoll effects that never get old, and AI that actually feels like it’s trying to outsmart you. It’s not just mindless fun; you gotta think to win, and that’s what makes it addictive.
Let’s start with the unit basics ‘cause that’s where newbies mess up first. You can’t just throw random troops into the fight—mixing melee and ranged is non-negotiable. Here’s the hack: put melee units (spearmen, Vikings) up front to soak up damage. They’re your meat shield. Then tuck ranged units (archers, catapults) behind ‘em to dish out damage safely. Skip the chickens, though—they’re the weakest units ever, total cannon fodder. Vikings are absolute beasts in groups, one swing takes down three enemies easy, and spearmen are solid with shield units.
Level tips are a lifesaver ‘cause some of the 105 levels (split into easy and hard) are straight-up tricky. Let me save you the frustration: Level 18? Use cavalry to draw enemy fire, then hit ‘em with crossbows and muskets—works every time. Level 23? Grab 3 elephants first, then fill the rest with cheap archers. Elephants tank damage, archers clean up. Level 38? Go all-in on crossbow cannons—they’re overpowered, trust me. Don’t waste time on weak units here.
Game modes are pretty straightforward, but let’s break ‘em down. Campaign mode’s where you’ll spend most of your time—grind levels, unlock units, get better. Custom mode’s my favorite, though—test out unit combos without pressure, mess around with thousands of troops just for fun. Multiplayer’s there too, with matchmaking, but it can lag sometimes—nothing game-breaking, just a little annoying. The graphics are a step up from other sims, and the AI’s smarter, so battles feel way more real.
Don’t sleep on unit upgrades and heroes. Upgrading your troops makes ‘em way stronger—focus on melee health and ranged damage first. And you can unlock epic heroes like Spartans and dragons (some versions let you get ‘em free, which is dope). Also, watch the battlefield—cliffs and chokepoints are everywhere. Troops can fall off cliffs and die, so place ‘em carefully. I lost a whole army ‘cause I stuck spearmen too close to the edge—never again.
The only tiny flaw? It can get a little repetitive if you play for hours, but that’s most sims. Other than that, it’s solid. It’s easy to learn but has enough strategy to keep you coming back. You don’t need to be a pro to lead epic armies—just mix your units, protect your ranged troops, and don’t sleep on crossbow cannons. Before you know it, you’ll be wiping out enemy armies like a pro.
