Editor's Review
From the makers of Dungeon Maker, this dark-themed action game lets you take back the Abyss solo. I’ve infiltrated the light-dominated planet, taken down heroes, and used their gear to summon monsters to fight with me. As I get stronger, I unlock Dark God blessings to team up with my monsters and crush enemy hordes. It’s gritty and strategic, perfect for fans of dungeon games, action RPGs, and anyone who loves playing as the dark side.

Dungeon Squad Official Introduction
The new game of the developer "GameCoaster", who made Dungeon Maker and
Dungeon Defense!
A seemingly infinite stream of heroes invaded the dungeon and brought ruin to the Abyss.
Now you must go straight to the source of the enemy and return your home to its former glory.
Defeat the Army of Light and take back the power of the Abyss.
You are tasked with infiltrating a planet dominated by light all on your own.
You must bring down the heroes and use them to summon monsters to fight alongside you,
armed with the equipment of these fallen sacrifices.
Once you are strong enough, you may receive the blessings of the Dark Gods,
and combine their powers with those of your monsters to bring down colossal groups of enemies.

Dungeon Squad Tips
Dungeon Squad Beginner Guide & Tier List: Dominate Early Runs on Android
Dungeon Squad nails that casual, pixel-art roguelike vibe for Android—easy to pick up, tough to master, and packed with enough randomness to keep every run feeling fresh. If you’re tired of wiping early and guessing which characters or builds actually work, this guide cuts through the trial and error. We’re breaking down core combat, non-negotiable beginner tips, and a no-fluff tier list to skip the bad picks and start clearing dungeons fast.
Core Gameplay & Combat Basics (Don’t Skip This)
The loop is simple, but small mistakes cost runs fast. Enemies spawn from the right side of the screen, while your team and the critical magic stone stay on the left. That magic stone is your win condition—its shield count (tracked top left) hits zero, you lose instantly. Tap the right side to fire off skills, but never spam abilities blindly; every skill has a cooldown, and wasting them leaves you defenseless when a horde rushes you.
Each run is fully random, per roguelike rules, so don’t stress early deaths—they’re just practice. Beat all enemies in a wave, collect loot, and equip upgrades immediately to stack power for the next floor. No need to overcomplicate it; focus on survival first, then damage.
Beginner-Friendly Character Tier List (No Jargon, Just Results)
Skip testing every character—this list is tailored for new players, avoiding nerfed dead weights and meta picks that carry you from your first run:
T0 (Must-Pick, Carry Any Team): Kraken (Double Happy Tentacles) – The undisputed best starter. He balances healing and damage perfectly, works with any team comp, and requires zero micro-skill. If you’re lost, pick him every single time.
T1 (Solid, Reliable Picks): Jormungandr (Vampire Snake), Diablo, Chimera (support only), Cerberus (tank only), Titan. These all hold their own—Jormungandr and Diablo were nerfed hard but still bring solid attack and support value. Stick to their intended roles: support for Chimera, tank for Cerberus.
T2 (Situational, Only If You Have No Better Options): Medusa. Once a physical damage powerhouse, she’s been heavily nerfed and is now just mediocre. Use her only if you haven’t unlocked T0/T1 characters yet.
Absolute Avoid: Attack-focused Cerberus or Chimera. These builds are completely non-viable—they flop hard in waves and waste a character slot.
Stat Priority & Pro Beginner Tips
When you loot upgrades, prioritize these stats in this order—they’re the most impactful for early runs: Attack Speed (not cooldown!), Damage Range, Duration. Piercing (attacks through multiple enemies) and extra projectiles are also game-changing, grab them whenever you see them.
Don’t forget about saves—this is a easy mistake that ruins good runs. Tap the upload button in the top right to manually save, or enable auto-save in settings immediately. Losing a near-perfect run to a forgot save is the worst frustration in this game.
Final Quick Starter Steps
Open the game and tap the center to start a run.
Pick Kraken (or your top T1 pick) from the 5 starting characters.
Hit “Start” in the bottom right and jump into combat.
Focus on defending the magic stone, use skills wisely, and loot every upgrade.
Roguelikes are all about patience and learning, so don’t get discouraged by early failures. Stick to the tier list, prioritize the right stats, and you’ll be crushing dungeon floors consistently in no time.
