Terraforming Mars Official Introduction

CREATE LIFE ON MARS

Lead a corporation and launch ambitious Mars terraforming projects. Direct massive construction works, manage and use your resources, create cities, forests and oceans, and set rewards and objectives to win the game!

In Terraforming Mars, place your cards on the board and use them wisely:

- Achieve a high Terraform Rating, by increasing the temperature and oxygen level or creating oceans... Make the planet habitable for future generations!

- Get Victory Points by building cities, infrastructure and other ambitious projects.

- But watch out! Rival corporations will try to slow you down... That's a nice forest you planted there... It'd be a shame if an asteroid crashed right on it.

Will you be able to lead humanity into a new era? The terraforming race begins now!

Features:

• The official adaptation of Jacob Fryxelius' famous board game.

• Mars for all: Play against the computer or challenge up to 5 players in multiplayer mode, online or offline.

• Game variant: Try the rules of the Corporate Era for a more complex game. With the addition of new cards, including 2 new corporations, focused on economy and technology, you will discover one of the most strategic variants of the game!

• Solo Challenge: Finish terraforming Mars before the end of generation 14. Try new rules and features in the most challenging Solo mode on the (red) planet.

DLCs:

• Speed up your game with the Prelude expansion, adding a new phase at the start of the game to specialize your corporation and boost your early game. It also introduces new cards, corporations and a new solo challenge.

• Explore a new side of Mars with the Hellas & Elysium maps, each bringing a new set of twists, awards and milestones. From the Southern Wilds to the Other Face of Mars, the taming of the Red Planet continues.

* Try the Big Box Promo Pack and its 23 cards to raise the level even higher. Play as the expert-only Pharmacy Union or enjoy the more relaxed Astrodrill corporation with this DLC!

* Establish outposts and trade with them in Colonies! Featuring 49 project cards, 5 corporations, and a whole new game system, Colonies is the most content-packed DLC to date!

Terraforming Mars Tips

Terraforming Mars Android: Beginner Tips to Stop Getting Crushed

Terraforming Mars on Android isn’t rocket science—unless you’re actually trying to turn the red planet into a livable world, which, let’s be real, is kind of the point. But if you’re new to the game, you’ve probably stared at the screen, seen the resource bars, the stack of cards, and thought “what the hell am I doing?” Don’t worry—veterans weren’t born knowing how to dominate, and I’m here to keep you from getting steamrolled in your first few games. This ain’t no fancy strategy guide, just the raw, practical stuff that’ll get you competitive fast.

First off, let’s get one thing straight: you can’t win this game without terraforming. I see new players skip it all the time, chasing shiny cards or quick points, and it’s a death wish. Terraforming’s not just some side quest—it’s the core of the game, the easiest way to rack up points, and it even boosts your income. There’s 43 total points up for grabs in oxygen, oceans, and temperature alone, plus it cuts down on those 3-hour slogs that make you want to quit halfway through. You don’t have to go crazy, but you gotta keep at it—no terraforming, no win. Simple as that.

And can we talk about card management? You’re gonna draw a handful of cards every round, and 90% of ’em are junk. Stop hoarding every single one like it’s a rare Mars rock. If a card needs 12% oxygen and you’re stuck at 3%, or 3 science when you’ve got zero, chuck it immediately. Same with pure VP cards early on—spending your starting credits on something that doesn’t make resources is like trying to breathe on Mars without a suit. Keep only what you can play in the next 2 or 3 turns, max. Your hand’ll be way cleaner, and you won’t waste turns staring at unplayable garbage.

Economy’s another big one—forget victory points right out the gate. I know, points are the goal, but if you don’t build up your income first, you’ll run out of steam fast. Cards that boost your credits, steel, or titanium production? Those are gold. Building cities or big science setups too early? Bad move. Hold off on that stuff until your cash flow’s steady. The earlier you ramp up your income, the more moves you’ll have later to take over the game. Trust me, points will come once your economy’s rolling—you just gotta be patient.

Don’t sleep on standard projects, either. Yeah, they’re a little overpriced—about 3M€ more than card projects—but they’re your safety net. Got nothing to play on your turn? Slap down an ocean or a city tile. Empty hand but need a bonus? Use ’em to trigger board effects. The only one I skip is the power plant—wait for a card that gives energy instead. They’re flexible, keep the game moving, and save you when your hand’s absolute trash.

Oh, and a quick Android-specific tip: the touch UI’s smooth as hell, same as the PC version—no missing content. You need an account for online play, but offline works great for solo or with friends. Use the sort button near your hand to organize cards by playability—it saves so much time you’ll wonder how you played without it.

Stick to this stuff, and you’ll stop getting outclassed by veterans. You don’t need to dive into expansions like Prelude or Colonies right away—master the basics first, then level up. Before you know it, you’ll be turning Mars into a livable world (and crushing your friends) like a pro.
