Mech Arena Tips

New players get destroyed early on ‘cause they make the same dumb mistakes I did. Follow these tips, and you’ll go from noob to halfway decent in a few matches—promise.

Pick the right starter mech — Skip the flashy, heavy mechs at first. Go with a light or medium mech (like the Raptor or Guardian) ‘cause they’re faster and easier to maneuver. Heavy mechs are slow and get focused down fast if you don’t know what you’re doing. I tried to use a heavy mech first, and I got blown up before I could even shoot.

Stick with your team — This ain’t a solo game. Don’t run off alone to chase kills—you’ll get surrounded and destroyed. Stick with your teammates, use cover together, and focus fire on one enemy at a time. Trust me, 2 mechs are way better than 1.

Don’t waste weapons on random shots — Each mech has a unique weapon loadout (lasers, rockets, machine guns). Save your heavy hitters (rockets, plasma cannons) for enemy mechs, not random walls. I used to spam rockets everywhere, and I ran out of ammo right when I needed it most.

Use cover like your life depends on it — The maps are full of crates, walls, and buildings—use ‘em. Hide behind cover to reload, heal, or avoid enemy fire. Standing out in the open is a death sentence, even with a heavy mech. I learned that the hard way.

Claim power-ups on the map — Look for health packs and ammo crates scattered around the map. They respawn every few minutes, and grabbing ‘em can turn the tide of a battle. I ignored ‘em at first, and I kept dying with no way to heal.
